People always like to compare themselves to others. My question to you is, why do we do that to ourselves when it makes us feel lower about ourselves? We want what our friends, neighbors, coworkers, anyone (you name it!), have. We may like their clothes, house, lifestyle that they may have. But, why can’t we just enjoy what we DO have? There’s some people out there who may wish that they had our clothes, house, food, hair, lifestyle, etc. Be inspired by others, but remember to count your blessings!
So maybe your plans fell through, and it’s understandable you’ll feel down about it. But why stop? Why throw away the towel just because one thing did not go your way? Come up with alternatives, or new plans altogether! It doesn’t matter HOW you reach your goal, just as long as you DO!
Why let certain standards, or even people in your life, predict what your future will be like? Or, better yet, why come up with multiple possible ideas in your mind that may eventually get you all racked up and worried over possibly nothing? Make plans for the future. Start working towards what YOU WANT TO HAVE HAPPEN in your future!
There is a difference between a reality check and limitations. Sure, it’s good to be realistic about your goals, but that doesn’t mean you should limit yourself to the point that you’re not going to be able to achieve what you want. Your life is like a painting. You have a big, white canvas, and it’s your job to give it color. Don’t hold back on adding in certain colors, because you may end up liking the outcome later on! Just like in life, don’t hold back on anything, live your life to the fullest.
Do you ever notice how you feel whenever you’re feeling negative? Do you feel more fatigued, have a change in appetite, or maybe don’t interact with people as much? Believe it or not, just one negative thought or event could overpower all the positive that’s in your life. If you train your brain to think more on the brighter side of things, you may find yourself feeling more energized, motivated, wanting to interact with others, etc.
